Inclusive Leadership Retreat | Men-focused, open to all
Shut up. Lead.
Future-proof your leadership with real change you can measure.
A three-night, small-group retreat near Oslo.
What This Is
A residential retreat for established leaders who want measurable inclusive leadership skills - not more theory.
Edgy, practical, accountable, and men-focused (open to all).
Signature Experiences
-
A murder-mystery for modern leaders. A professional actor and in-room devil’s-advocate drops derailers in real time, whataboutism, minimising, tone-policing. You try to spot the behaviours, choose your response, and secretly log the “clues.” At the end, we do the reveal and unpack what happened.
How it runs:
Brief: what counts as problematic and when to secretly note it down.
Live play: the actor seeds problematic behaviour across natural moments.
Your job: identify the behaviour, respond (call-in / call-out / boundary / redirect), and afterwards note what happened.
Reveal: Who was the actor? What landed? What escalated? And what to do next time?
You’ll practice: real-time bias spotting, response selection, de-escalation, repair.
-
Pop culture serves as the backdrop to inspiring tough conversations. We’ll listen to Taylor Swift, Beyoncé/Adichie, Lil Nas X, and the Barbie movie and then straight into facilitated dialogue. The clips heat things up; the protocols cool the room so people can think.
How it runs:
Watch: short, high-impact clips with a single prompt each.
Note: jot what you notice (context, power, consequence).
Talk: take turns using a simple dialogue protocol (no monologues, no cross-talk).
Synthesize: pull lessons you can actually use at work.
You’ll practice: naming power, listening under pressure, turning heat into clarity.
-
We team you up with a studient or junior professional for a reverse mentoring session. They’ll be briefed on your experience and expertise and be prepared to have a no-posturing conversation to help you see yourself from the next generation’s perspective.
How it runs:
Pre-brief: Reverse mentors are briefed on your experience and expertise
Round 1: 1-to-1 conversation (you ask, you listen, you reflect).
Round 2: new mentor, deeper questions.
Synthesis: write two behaviour changes you’ll test.
You’ll practice: inquiry over certainty, updating beliefs, perspective-taking.
-
Growth you can point to. You set 2–3 behaviours that matter and nominate an evaluator (friend, family member, or colleague). They evaluate your change and confirm your progress after the retreat.
How it runs:
Pick: choose behaviours tied to real stakes (e.g., fewer interruptions, clearer asks).
Baseline: you + your nominated evaluator complete a short initial check.
Follow-up: quick pulses and examples (meeting notes, messages, evaluator feedback).
Verify: evaluator confirms whether change is visible and valuable.
You’ll practice: goal clarity, observable behaviour design, accountability rhythms.
-
Your leadership skills, on your wrist. You’ll receive a leather bracelet and earn unique metal tokens for each of the 11 inclusive behaviours you demonstrate and master (INCLUDE framework). Every token carries a distinct icon and meaning, so the bracelet becomes a visible record of how you lead.
How it runs:
Start set: get your bracelet and learn the 11 behaviours and their matching tokens.
Earn in-session: demonstrate behaviours during exercises and team challenges to unlock tokens.
Missions after the retreat: receive fresh “micro-missions” and new behaviours to keep earning tokens over time.
Add as you grow: collect, attach, and show your progress at work and in the community.
You’ll practice: translating intentions into action, habit formation, and visible accountability.
-
Courage meets culture. A panel of drag performers takes real questions (the awkward, honest ones), shares lived leadership lessons, then performs.
How it runs:
Panel: stories about power, safety, and visibility.
Q&A: ask the questions you’ve never had the room to ask.
Show: feel the craft, risk, and presence up close.
You’ll practice: empathy across difference, brave questions, connection beyond your bubble.
-
Practice presence under scrutiny while doing something many leaders have never done.
How it runs (step-by-step):
Pair up.
Pick a nail polish colour (brights, neutrals, glitter are all on the table).
Round A: Partner 1 paints Partner 2’s nails while both answer short prompts on masculinity, status, and comfort.
Round B: Switch roles with a new set of prompts.
Stand-up pause: look, breathe, notice the stories in your head.
Debrief: what surprised you, what shifted, what you’ll try at work.
(Optional) Nail polish remover station or wear it back home or work to continue to explore how your masculinity is perceived.
You’ll practice: composure, curiosity, and choosing courage over performance.
Who It’s For
Established managers and executives investing in their own growth.
Places where small behavior changes unlock big trust.
Less posture, more practice and willing to be held accountable.
